2017 Color Trends

Each year brings new trends! At Curtain Call, we want to keep you in the loop of the latest color trends to help you in your upcoming design projects. Chances are, you've probably heard about the 2017 Color of the Year. The good news is that you have options to choose from depending on your preference from either Pantone, Benjamin Moore, or Sherwin-Williams.

Pantone Color Institute named Greenery 15-0343 their color of the year. Greenery is a fresh
yellow-green that signifies rejuvenation. The Executive Director of Pantone says, "Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose."

Benjamin Moore selected Shadow 2117-30 for 2017. Shadow is a rich amethyst with the softness of a lilac-grey depending on the light in the room. "It ebbs and flows with it's surroundings, and light brings it to life"
said Ellen O'Neill, Creative Director at Benjamin Moore.

​Sherwin-Williams chose Poised Taupe SW 6039 as their color of the year. Poised Taupe is a neutral that shows the beginning of a shift from grey to warmer taupes. (Don't worry grey isn't going away anytime soon!) Sherwin-Williams design team stated on their website that, "This timeless neutral is modern, classic and a beautiful balance of warm and cool."

​There are many beautiful fabrics to choose from depending on which color you are drawn toward. Often you can tie these colors into your current style with the addition of the perfect fabric!
